Our programmes are funded through Stroud College or Qube Learning and part financed by the European Social Fund
We are always looking for enthusiastic young people looking to gain valuable hands on experience in the equine industry and a platform to launch their career working with horses or those who may have riding skills but may need development including their stages or horse care knowledge.
Learners recieve a blend of learning including plenty of practical experience but also the theory to develop their underpinning knowledge. All our learners recieve an initial assessment that establishes what level they are at, how they learn best and what support is necessary to help them achieve at levels that suit their capabilities but are also challenging.
To find out more about what our programmes can do for you just give us a call. We'll be more than happy to have a chat about your individual requirements and any suitable programmes for you. Just call 01245 364 381 or email email@example.com.
Pencil Wood Barn (formerly Pyes Barn)
Our home is a beautifully rennovated 16th century barn that was home to animals including horses hundreds of years ago. In 2010 the building was wonderfully restored by Copués Construction before we moved in and continued the conversion to a teaching facility with excellent resources.
The Academy features a fully functioning IT Suite, group teaching area, one to one teaching room, staff offices, an interview mezzanine and bathroom and kitchen facilities. We're very proud of the building and it is often commented upon as being truly spectacular.
You can see images of the renovation on in the document you can download here (Barn Renovation) . You can see more pictures of the barn in action throughout this website and in the gallery on the menu bar.
"Delivering Equine Qualifications the right way"
Launched in 2011, the Equestrian Learning Academy provides professional, personal and effective training in the equine industry specialising in delivering Apprenticeships.
Our hands-on, flexible programmes aren't only about qualifications - but practical training that really benefits learners, employees and businesses. Only working in small groups we take great pride in the quality of our teaching as well as our pastoral one to one learning support. Working in partnership with National Training Provider Qube Learning, our Apprenticeships and Traineeships have developed a reputation for excellence and true development of young people.
Our learners range in experience from those new to the industry who want to be grooms or yard hads, to some of Britain's most talented young riders including several who compete internationally representing Great Britain and have appeared at Olympia and HOYS. We are an approved centre for City and Guilds and 1st for Sport.
